Year 1 and 2 8:45am 3:00 pm
Year 3 and 4 8:45am 3:10 pm

Please note that we politely request all parents (with the exception of parents with children in EYFS) to continue to drop their children at either the main green gate or pedestrian gate each morning. The register will be taken at 9:00am.

Covid-19

Autumn Term – Re opening Arrangements

We are delighted that we can reopen  to all of our children in the new term and get back to some normality.  However,  we will continue to keep the health and safety of our Ratby paramount as we transition into  this new phase and therefore maintaining protective measures will be key to creating safer environments in school. This letter is designed to summarise some of our key decisions based on government advice.

As always, we will update you if guidance changes so that we can continue to work together to support your child’s return to school next term.

Reporting Illness or a suspected case of Coronavirus

Please see below for the latest parent guidance what to do if your child is ill or you suspect they or someone in your household has Coronavirus.

002a-Flow-Chart-Corona-Absence-Pupils-SeptUpdate

The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

Please note the current testing policy only advises testing for children with covid-19 symptoms  i.e. not asymptomatic children.  NB: A high temperature in children is generally 38 C or more – but not defined as such in the guidance.

Please find the latest letters below regarding Coronavirus. We will post any updates to the current status of school here.
